30 of Our Favorite Catskills and Hudson Valley Wedding Venues 2024
There must be triple the amount of venues upstate as there are in the city and since we shoot so much up here (we also have a home here), we frequently get asked for recs on our favorite Catskill & Hudson Valley venues & vendors so getting this post together on our site has been long overdue.
As someone who has over a decade of experience documenting weddings in this region, the one piece of advice I can give you on choosing an upstate venue is this:
Make sure the venue has a seriously solid and sexy rain plan that you love aesthetically. Nobody wants to hear this, but it’s just plain ignorant to think it’s not going to happen to you. Being in the East Coast, chances are high that covered spaces will be relied upon to keep everyone dry. If the venue does not include an inclement weather backup plan (indoor space, a tent, generators, etc), budget for it.
I think it’s worth noting that Im writing this on my porch at 4pm on the only Saturday I have off this September and guess what - it’s raining buckets.
(rain rant over)
After so many years shooting weddings all over this big beautiful green luscious state that is New York, here’s our list of the most stunning and unique upstate venues that we have shot at, and / or, want to shoot at and haven’t yet. (maybe you’ll be the one?)
We hope this guide helps and we will continue to update it with more venues as they pop up on our radar.
p.s. we don’t know anything about guest count or pricing - email the venue or ask your wedding planner xo
