Chinese Food & Champagne

These two were supposed to have a big ol’ wedding in Boston in 2021, but covid swept through.

However, this didn’t stop them from getting married, nor did it dampen the vibe. They moved it to Olivia’s parents’ house and skimmed the guest list to a cool 30. it was supposed to rain all day, so they set up the ceremony in the living room, but while we were off property taking portraits, their families saw a shift in the clouds, and like little magic ninja gnomes, they moved everything outside. When we came back from portraits, we were greeted by an outdoor ceremony set up, which is what they had planned for. Max & Olivia ran like little kids toward their families, squealing with happiness. These are the kind of people that deserve good things, and at that moment, I wasn’t surprised that the weather gods had made some moves for them...

For a small wedding, it was a banger. I witnessed and encouraged consuming beers via flamingo funnels, cake fights, shots of tequila, slurping rose out of a bag, and lots of confetti explosions. These geniuses also had their favorite Boston-based Chinese restaurant come thru to cater and hot damn was it delicious.

Max & Olivia, thanks for seating me at the table like a guest. That dinner was unforgettable and it made for the perfect late-night post-tequila noshing snack too.
