A Piano Room Wedding at The Hotel Chelsea

Neon light invites the night,
iconic in its ridden way.
Bohemian style casts vicious smiles
where Sid and Nancy loved to play.

One hundred hides from prying eyes
forever sealed in landmark lore
music flies where legends die,
graphic art still screams for more.

Sticks get stoned with broken bones,
yet punk and rock excites me.
Twain left his mark with temper lost,
till Dylan’s times went folksy.

Old haunting stories laced with lies
no words convince those ghosts to stay
dwellers mourn through muffled cries,
while Warhol clones come out to play.

Life imitates in grandest style
and laughs at posers wealthy,
for hippie chic is alive and well
strolling the streets of Chelsea.
